New Jedi Order
Type: Force Tradition
Leader: Jedi Master K'Kruhk

The Jedi Order, as re-founded by Luke Skywalker, has only stood for about a century. What a century it has been, however. The Order is no longer directly associated with any one government, instead standing as an independent group of its own on equal footing with the two largest governments in the galaxy. The Jedi Order is one third of the Galactic Federation Triumvirate and thus far Master K'Kruhk has found himself acting as the swing vote in many stalemates between Empress Fel and Admiral Stazi. Meanwhile, the day to day efforts of rebuilding the Jedi Order after the Third Great Jedi Purge have fallen into the capable hands of the remaining Jedi Council members.

The Jedi Order is stretched thin to say the least. More than half their numbers were lost in the Purge perpetrated by the One Sith during their seizure of power and it takes years, sometimes decades, to train a new Jedi Knight. The survivors have done their best to attend to their duties as the galaxy has been reclaimed by the forces of peace and order. The Fel Empire has shown precious little interest in the services of the Jedi but the Galactic Alliance, like its predecessor governments, have found them invaluable and requested the Order's assistance in more hot spots than there are Jedi to assign.

The Order's forward looking goals are threefold. In the short term they are still searching out hidden Jedi in places where news of the end of the war might not have reached yet, recalling that when Jedi go into hiding there is no end to the unique methods and destinations they will employ. A complimentary side effect of that search is it involves much the same research and trailing required to hunt down the remaining One Sith who are now in the same position as the Jedi were so recently. This is good because the Jedi don't currently have the resources to pursue those two goals separately.

The second looming matter is rebuilding the Order's holdings so as to secure their position in the galaxy. For the moment the Jedi are searching for ready made structures that don't require coordinated financial input or construction as the Order is largely destitute and their former strongholds have been badly damaged even in the most positive of assessments. So far, nothing of use that wouldn't in-debt them to another group has presented itself.

The third and final situation is, of course, continuing their duties as Jedi Knights and keeping the Order itself in functioning condition. To address this matter and to reinforce their numbers the Jedi have sent out offers of, and readily accept, transfers from groups such as the Baran Do and the Jensaarai so long as such transfers are willing to operate by Jedi behavioral doctrine.
