The message beeped insistently for Draco's attention. It was a visual recording from a vessel he'd never heard of, addressed directly to him and with a half dozen official Imperial inquiries tacked to it from as many Imperial departments (including Intelligence and Knight Command) asking so many demanding questions that Draco Antares would be writing reports for the better part of a week.

When the message was played the brightly smiling face of Kaziki Halcyon shined out at him and launched immediately into the verbose personality the younger man had displayed before. "Antares, it's your best friend in the whole wide galaxy! No.. not him... Kaz.... Kaziki Halcyon. I can't believe you're that bad with names." The Corellian was presuming, all with a big smile saying it was a joke at Antares' expense. "Just joshin with ya. Anyway, I got all the forensics and evidence from that thing we did on Corellia, including the Lightsaber, ready to turn over to you so you can give it to your government for an 'Imperial Investigation'," he said the words in quotations in a stuffy 'Imperial' voice for effect. "I want them to get it from you because I was able to convince Corellia that -you- deserved to run your own investigation. If you get the Empire involved, that's your choice. I know you will because you're a good and loyal son of the Empire but eh. Also, I'm in the neighborhood so me and my corvette level war ship are going to be delivering it personally in about.... an hour. See you soon buddy, ol' pal of mine."

Of course, that message had been sent about 45 minutes ago, intercepted, and bounced around various agencies within the Imperial hierarchy for no better reason than 'why is Draco getting a message from a Jedi' vaguely disguised as a tactical concern. That left Antares Draco with approximately 15 minutes to prepare for the arrival of an armed vessel within striking distance of the Imperial capital world.

{{Admin}} Draco goes first here, then Eanin. Draco, do whatever you need to do in the thread, take as much space or as little as you feel necessary, just make sure you end your thread with being on a landing platform to intercept the Jedi shuttle that will be coming in after Eanin's first post. Uninvited Jedi can net Draco whatever military presence he wants to bring to the pad, if any, all the way up to a starfighter escort/guards on the shuttle to make sure it makes it 'safely' to the appropriate pad and/or AT-PT's on the pad. Whatever you think works.

Bastion... at one time a backwater and unimportant blot on a sector map... now one of the most guarded and defend-able spaces in the entirety of the galaxy. Even with the Imperial fleet stretched between rebuilding and repairing the 'great folly' it brought upon the galaxy alongside the Sith, it was still heavily protected and (for those with the favor of the Empress) safe places you could find the greater galaxy.

Unfortunately, safety comes at a price. Every piece of com traffic and even radio signals using old morse code was sifted, pulped and examined before being sent to the person in question. Everyone and anyone could be sure that whatever business they had on Bastion would be known LONG before they even entered the system. When the 'message' finally reached Antares Draco he had just come off a training shift. Antares Draco was alone in his spartan quarters - his forehead covered in sweat and his hair pointing in all directions - when the message came through. And he was even more alone when he watched the playback and decided whether or not thrusting his head through the wall would get him out of this...

About a minute later, as Draco had expected, a call came through from one of the representatives from the Moff council asking him for details. Another four minutes passed before Antares had cleared Kaz - called up the debriefing he'd delivered on the subject, and been assigned to landing pad 10191. Since the fall of Emperor Fel, few - if any - non-Imperials had been allowed on the planet. So it wasn't surprising that the assigned platform was along the western coast - isolated from the rest of the Imperial command structure, but within striking distance of an Imperial garrison. Gathering the majority of Jaig and her current command (captain of the 182nd) hardly proved difficult as the unit had just been formed and was one of the reasons that Jaig had been recalled along with Draco to the capital.

In orbit of Bastion, three of the ornate Pellaeon-class Star Destroyers pulled away from their patrol sections and positioned themselves in a triangle-formation around the jump coordinates. Several Ardent-class frigates moved into flanking positions and squadrons of Predator fighters joined up with the Jedi ship as it jumped out of hyperspace and followed the departing shuttle as it moved to the surface. As for Landing Pad 10191, two large AT-AHT's were positioned to the left and the right of the actual pad - with diminutive (compared to the AT-AHT's) AT-RCT's moving to and from the larger command walkers and even a few flanking Jaig and the 182nd as they stood behind Draco at the landing pad.

Clad completely in his crimson gear, his shaggy hair (for once) tied back in a short ponytail, Draco stood firm and quiet as Bastion's sun began to set and the only moon in the system began to cast it's eery-colored light as it rose in the sky. Watching the Jedi shuttle drop from the corvette through the atmosphere, Draco shouted, "Attention!" immediately the multiracial-staffed 182nd moved into position just beyond the landing shuttle as Draco approached the ship. His boots clicking against the metal framework of the landing platform, Draco crossed his arms and waited for the 'visitors' to appear.

'Right on time.' He considered as he observed the shuttle, a barely discernible blip set against the dimming Bastion sky. Although he couldn't see them, he knew that there would be starfighters escorting the Jedi craft. The welcome that awaited the Jedi craft on the landing pad was formidable, more than sufficient to ensure that even a large group of armed Jedi would not easily attempt to cause any disturbances.

Eanin wasn't quite sure how much of it was necessary, and how much would be show of force. He knew there would be at least one, and probably more representatives of the Imperial Knights present, and many more available to react should the need arrise. It was this large military presence that gave Eanin hope that the situation would not be as critically balanced as some might assume. Unless the leader of the Imperial contingent was the nervy kind, which was highly unlikely, Eanin was sure he would recognise that they had the upper hand by far here. The Jedi would, hopefully, not be perceived as a threat.

Of course, springing this 'surprise' on them could undo a lot of that.

The Jedi Master had done what he could to avoid upsetting matters with his arrival. He had gone through official channels as best he could, although it had slowed his arrival, and made sure that the Imperials were fully aware of him and his actions all the way. He had hoped to arrive before the two Knights and their aggressively armed transport, hoped to smooth the matter over a bit before an armed warship arrived over the Imperial capital. But, time had not allowed, and now he would need to make the best of the situation.

Eanin approached the landing pad as the approaching shuttle's features started to become visible, making his way straight to the dark-haired Imperial Knight that was in charge of the contingent to welcome the Jedi.

"Knight Draco," It was the voice of his shadow, one of the two Imperial Knights that had been assigned to escort him to pad 10191 when he arrived. "This one arrived several minutes ago, another Jedi. Apparently he is here to join someone named Halcyon."

"Jedi Eanin, at your service." was all the Farghul could offer by way of introduction, the noise of the landing shuttle settling over the pad after that. He stood, waiting patiently for the other Jedi to emerge from the shuttle.

As much as he disliked flying he had to admit, they were so close to danger they couldn't have been farther from harm. The Imperial military had come out in force to greet and escort the Jedi who had invited themselves to the party. Honestly, it would have been a matter of casual flying if they'd just come in the shuttle but they'd needed the resources aboard the Corroded Serpent in order to finish processing the evidence they had collected. Kaz's idea of visiting the Galactic Circus had only been further supported by what they'd discovered of the goo that had been collected both by themselves and the Mandalorians.

Kaz looked out the windows from the doorway into the cockpit, eying the starships that had closed in around them. The occasional peek of a starfighter flanking their tiny shuttle would appear at the corner of the wrap around view panel but he knew most of them would be lingering behind far enough to bring their cannons to bear quickly should the Jedi make any false movement. That was why Kaz was actively pouring calm into the Force in a radius large enough to reach several of the closest fighters. Nobody needed to get itchy fingers. The Antarian Rangers would be too busy talking their way back out of the system to rescue two unfortunate Jedi at the moment.

Bastion loomed ahead. The former military stronghold had quickly become the new political center of the Empire in the days following the end of the Second Imperial Civil War, all the way up to the creation of a civilian infrastructure that managed to look like it had always been there. For once, a galactic power was wise enough to make a new start. To divorce itself of the need to associate with Coruscant for a symbol of its authority. Bastion wasn't a symbol, it was merely a seat. The Empire's authority came from Marasiah Fel, the Empress of the Fel Empire. So long as that remained true the Empire could be governed from an igloo on Hoth.

A beep came from the console next to him, as he'd unofficially taken up the position of communications officer as talking seemed to be his thing. "We have 'approved' flight plans that will take us down to a no doubt heavily fortified landing pad designated... 10191. Yes... I sense Sir Draco at the end of this path. Finally, a friendly face... relatively speaking." He grinned to himself as he imagined that Draco's friendly face was probably no different than his 'any other' face. "I'm transferring the flight path to your instruments, take us down nice and easy."

The shuttle journey wouldn't take long, less than half an hour, in fact, and, for that, Kura was grateful. It wasn't really long enough for Kaz to be able to retreat from the flight in his usual manner, There was no joy to be had in spending hours along in the cockpit while your partner snoozed away in the back. For that reason alone, she was determined to try to cure Kaz of his fear of flying.

However, despite his remaining awake this time, Kaz wasn't particularly communicative, and Kura could feel him in the Force, in the back of the shuttle, while leaving her up front and flying the short journey down to the planet's surface. Regardless, she could sense his trepidation, and she turned briefly, almost surprised to see him loitering in the doorway. "We are in no danger, at least not from my flying," she reassured him, expertly tweaking the shuttle's trajectory as she awaited clearance to land. She would be lying if she didn't admit to being a little unnerved by the sheer magnitude of the fleet sent to "escort" them to Bastion.

This isn't an escort. This is a warning.

Nodding as Kaz told her that they had been sent a flight plan, Kura turned her attention back to the instrument array in front of her as she adjusted the shuttle's bearing onto the route that had been laid out by the Empire. "And do you think that your 'friend' Draco is the one who requested such a blatant display of military superiority," she asked. "After all, surely the Empire has nothing to fear from two lone Jedi in a tiny shuttle."

The planet loomed in front of them, and, as per Kaz's wishes (he was a real bundled of nerves sometimes), Kura carefully, smoothly guided the shuttle into a final approach path. She opened up a communications channel to the planet. "Jedi Knights Kura Nuhok and Kaziki Halcyon, assigned landing pad one-zero-one-nine-one, requesting permission to land," she stated, not really expecting any resistance. The answer was slow in coming, but, after what seemed like an age, a voice echoed over the airwaves. "You are clear to land."

Gently, Kura brought the shuttle down towards the pad, almost stunned at the military presence awaiting their arrival. There was barely a bump as the shuttle touched down, and Kura opened the shuttle doors, turning to Kaz briefly as she started her post-flight checks. "If you wish, you may continue, and I will catch up," she said, making sure that everything was as it should be. Well, as much as it could be, with them dancing the fine line of protocol now that they were on Imperial territory.

Antares could sense Halcyon's presence from the landing pad - it was kind of amusing that the Jedi thought that here (on Bastion) the Empire's finest would lack the control required to avoid shooting an ally. If nothing else it contributed to Antares' sense of balance that even Halcyon could be unnerved.

As one of the trainee Knights that had been assigned to this detail (as evidenced by their carrying of vibroswords instead of the hilts of Imperial Knights) approached the landing pad behind a tall looking felinoid, Antares could sense the trainee's confusion. It wasn't surprising - Antares had been alerted to the addition of this interloper during the four-minute briefing from the Moff council. They seemed more put out that the Jedi weren't coming all in one batch than the fact that they were coming at all.

"Not that it matters," Antares thought to himself, "Jedi like Halcyon are too idealistic and devoted to the idea of 'peace' to ever try terrorist actions," and it was true. In and of itself, the Moff council had been forced to toe the line rather harshly since Marasiah ascended to Empress. Their activities were regulated far more directly than ever before. Not since the mad admiral Daala had the Moff council been as thoroughly monitored as was now, "They're just lucky the Empress hasn't decided their as useless as most of the Empire thinks they are..."

Because of the tight rein they operated under, and the stigma attached to them during the recent conflicts, the Moff council not only bore the brunt of the blame for the Empire's betrayal; but the reputation of the Empire itself had been tarnished and so their reputations as well as the moral of most of the troops that had served them before turning to Emperor Fel when he'd put out his call to war.

The idea of showing power and force to people must have been too good to resist for the Moff council... and showing that power to pacifists like the Jedi? Not only was there no danger of reprisal - but since the majority of the galaxy saw Jedi as great warriors (especially civilians and soldiers within the Empire itself) it made the Empire look more powerful (and indeed more stable and supplied) than it really was.

"The bark is worse than the bite..."

Waving the trainee knight away, Antares motioned for the Jedi to stand freely, "I'd take your service if I were someone you needed to serve," there was no malice or insult in his tone, just a simple stating of facts, "I am Antares Draco; former commander of the Imperial Knights. I was summoned here - just as you. I command these forces under orders, but I am over neither you nor the Jedi, so you need offer me nothing," watching the shuttle land and the doors slide open, Antares could see Halcyon and - what seemed to be - a Togrutan female running a post-check. Motioning Jaig and her troops forward, Antares watched as Jaig took her officers and formed two lines just outside the shuttle ramp - one line on each side.

Though their weapons weren't raised in salute - they remained at their side; the safety on and the power-gauges off. Though Antares didn't exactly walk up and shake Halcyon's hand he was - in his own way - greeting the Jedi. Imperial Stormtroopers standing in formation with deactivated weapons was the closest thing to an honorable greeting non-imperials received; something Antares had ordered Jaig to do once they'd arrived at the landing pad.

And one of the reasons the Imperial Knight was glad that there was no representative of the Moff council here - the last thing he needed were rumors of pro-ga sentiment attached to his already shaky reputation.

The Jedi took note of the response from Draco, who had taken the offered greeting quite literally it would seem. Eanin didn't take offence to the blunt answer, especially as he did not believe offence had been intended. He did, however, believe there was a lot to be learnt of the Imperial Knight from his answer. Of course, the Farghul Jedi wasn't quite sure how Draco would be involve in the Jedi mission, and whether understanding the man and his intentions would be important for their cause. Until he did, however, he would need to take careful note of what was made available to learn.

Eanin didn't provide a verbal response to the Imperial's reply, but offered a simple smile and nod of the head in answer. Following this, he followed the Imperial at a short distance to receive the newly arrived Jedi.

It was interesting to note that, both prior to his arrival and after it, a good deal of Draco's attention had been focussed on the shuttle. Or rather, it seemed, on the occupants of the shuttle. From the records given to him by the Grand Master, Eanin knew that Halcyon and Draco had met previously on Corellia, although the details on what had transpired between them were sketchy. Eanin had gotten the feeling that Halcyon was not one for filling out reports, and it seemed that Halcyon had been involved primarily due to a title he held that had less to do with the Jedi.

As Eanin couldn't recall any indication that Nuhok had previously encountered the Imperial, he decided to assume for the time being that it was Halcyon that was the subject of Draco's attention. The Jedi Master considered that it may cause a significant change to his ideas for handling the situation at hand if there was significant friction between the two. Then again, until Eanin knew exactly what was going on and why the two Jedi had decided to come to Bastion, he would not form any plans on how to proceed.

'Even conflict can be useful if used correctly.' Then again, he had always preferred a harmonious solution.

He was pleased, however, that Draco hadn't made any mention of the split group of Jedi, or asked Eanin anything at all really. He had expected the two separate arrivals to cause a stir, but whether it had or not behind the scenes, Draco seemed to take it in his stride. Even if the Imperials weren't happy about it, they didn't quite appear to be at the point of turning the Jedi away.

For a moment, a thought popped into Eanin's mind. Even though they disagreed with the Jedi over may things, he believed that the Imperials had some degree of respect fo the Jedi and their abilities at least. Had only one Jedi arrived, perhaps he would have been turned away more easily. Yet, three had come, perhaps giving the Imperials the idea that the issue was one that would be of significant concern for them. Perhaps, just perhaps, this fact would help them get the Imperails to hear them out.

For now, though, Eanin was mostly interested in meeting the two Knights, who he had learnt quite a lot of by reputation and hearsay, but nothing more.

Re: Knights of the Round (Draco, Eanin, Kaz, Kura)

PostAuthor: Kaziki Halcyon » Thu Sep 05, 2013 11:47 pm

Kaz smiled to himself, purposefully abstaining from looking out the view port at the force that Kura was referencing. "Honestly? I think not. Even if he wanted to I'm not entirely certain that he could, nor would he have to given the situation we have presented. The arrival of two Jedi... no..." Kaz tilted his head to the side as he drew upon a nudging correction from the Force, searching it for more details. "No, the arrival of three Jedi... More than enough to cause every Moff with an inappropriate secret, i.e. all of them, to suddenly feel very panicked. To suddenly think it best to let the military have free reign in dealing with the situation at hand."

He turned his head, finally, and looked at the planet growing quickly in the forward view port. "And no, I can't tell who it is but they are there with Draco. Waiting for us. I can sense the expectation... the intentions." He smiled suddenly. "To think, I believed this would be less than fully interesting. Proof that the Force loves me and wants me to be happy." No simple drop off, no merely boring errand to the visiting Galactic Circus. No, there would be so much more to it and they'd had to do nothing to make that happen except turn up. Kaz mused over it all, the convergence of Force-borne threads of fate, as Kura set the shuttle down on the appropriate landing pad. She began to run a shut down with post flight check list, allowing kaz a few long moments to observe the gathering of military might that surrounded the landing pad.

Draco knew, Kaz could feel it, all those warm bodies and expensive equipment were just hollow symbols when thrown up around determined Jedi Knights. Draco himself was the real deterrent to trouble. Only he could turn those men and women, those machines, into a credible threat against fully trained Force users. Only he, with the Force as his ally, made it all a problem for the Jedi, with the Force as their ally as well. He sensed yet another familiar presence, though she didn't shine in the Force quite the way Draco and the other Jedi did. Captain Jaig. Oh my, so many friends in one place, he was going to have to spring for drinks. Perhaps dinner. That would be amusing. Two Jedi, an ImpKnight, and a Captain in the Imperial Army walk into a bar... he'd have to think of a punchline for that one.

"Don't be silly, I'm sure the Imperial Agents that will be boarding shortly after we are out of line of sight would be happy to finish up that cycle down check list for you. Come along, I might need someone to watch my back once we are out in the open and friend Draco is very much likely to side with his government... still." Kaz stood and set his robes right once more. There was no anonymity to be had at that juncture, so he left them open and flowing about him as he strode toward the top of the vessel's ramp. "Game faces, Kura. We are being greeted by our adoring public, it isn't every day that two erstwhile Jedi get a full military parade in their honor merely for visiting our allies." Kaz put on his brightest smile and, true to his word, exited the shuttle as if he were walking into a grand greeting for two important individuals.

He raised his hands to make himself visible, gesturing as if attempting to forestall an applause they all knew wouldn't come one way or another. Kaz smile was infection, his show entertaining, and the polite reaction to someone offering a handshake so ingrained in a proper officer that when Kaz turned to one of the Stormtroopers lined up on either side of his and Kura's path to offer one it only took a small nudge in the Force to get that trooper to act on the trained response by proudly shaking his hand in return, his head bobbing happily until Kaz released his hand and his mind back to it's previous state. He could feel the shock and embarrassment on the man so clearly Kaz could practically envision the blush on his face shining through that brightly polished white helmet. As the two Jedi Knights reached the end of the double lines Kaz took a moment for himself.

He paused and swept a deep and courtly bow to Captain Jaig. "M'lady, Captain Jaig. Always a pleasure to see you again. It reminds me of more... pleasant times." Kaz shined his most charming smile at Jaig before turning his focus to Draco Antares, Imperial Knight. "Rusty! Did that Twi'lek 'massage therapist' I hired for you even get close enough to introduce herself? No, I didn't think so. You'll find the materials I told you I was bringing in those two boxes just inside the passenger compartment of the shuttle. Do try not to let it get lost in the depths of Imperial red tape, there are actually some fascinating revelations in there that I know you would appreciate the depths of." Kaz had a fond smile on his face for the Imperial Knight which didn't lessen but a fraction as he turned his eyes on the Jedi standing beside the man.

"Ah, Jedi Master..." Kaz looked the other being over for a long moment as he tried to recall the name, then if he'd ever actually encountered or seen the other Jedi before. "... honestly, I'm afraid I don't know you. Ah, that's it. You're newly returned to us, it took a moment to float to the front of your mind." It was a guess, Jedi Masters didn't have stray thoughts very often, but it would very easily make Kaz a far more capable being in the estimations of many of the current onlookers. Especially since he was about 99% certain he was right.

"Three Jedi?"

Kura was immediately on her guard. If there was another Jedi down on the planet, they had not been informed of such an occurrence. But then, seeing as they weren't exactly following the orders that they had been given by Grand Master K'Kruhk, that was hardly a surprise. Perhaps another Jedi had been sent to apprehend them, or, at the very least, question why they had not returned to Ossus after their discoveries in the Colonies.

She could feel Kaz reaching out into the Force, trying to gather as much information as he could about the situation that they were headed into, and, much as Kura would like to add to those impressions, taking the shuttle down safely was her only concern. "You seem very sure of this Imperial Knight," she remarked, not completely convinced that he could - or even should - be trusted as far as Kaz seemed willing to do so. "For someone with such a brief acquaintance, you appear to be willing to place our very lives in his hands. Why is that?"

The shuttled touched down, and Kaz attempted to dissuade her from completing her checks. "I will complete the checks myself," she asserted. If she made sure that the shuttle was in perfect order before she disembarked, she would be able to quickly spot any changes that were made to it - in any way - by the Imperials or any of their agents while it was unattended. It wasn't that Kura instantly expected the Imperials to be less than scrupulous, but, at least for now, she was unprepared to place blind trust in people that she didn't know.

She cast Kaz a quick glance as he arranged his robes to make as big a show of his identity as possible, but remained seated as she went through the final checks on the shuttle. "I shall join you shortly," she replied, not needing to look outside to know that Kaz was hamming it up for his assembled audience. Ever the showman.

Finally satisfied, Kura exited the shuttle in a far less flamboyant fashion, her robes loose around her, and she felt the ripples in the Force as Kaz greeted a female Captain. She blinked once as she realised that this was one of his - doubtless many - conquests, and just about resisted the urge to roll her eyes. For her part, Kura merely nodded at the woman, and repeated the gesture to the man who must be the infamous Antares Draco. Of course, she knew of him; after all, you didn't go without gaining some notoriety for killing the father of the woman you were likely to marry, especially when he was an Emperor. The feeling she got from him in the Force was uptight and staid, probably even moreso than she herself, and Kura smiled slightly.

He must be a bundle of laughs...

Finally, though, she turned her attention to the Farghul in Jedi robes, and inclined her head in deep respect. "Master," she said, her deep, husky voice quiet and almost reverent. There was no point in antagonising anyone at this juncture; she had a feeling that Kaz would do that more than enough for the pair of them.

Jaig stood idly by as the Jedi shook hands with one of her subordinates - she even nodded evenly when the emberassed trooper glanced back at her to see if her helmeted face positioned itself disapprovingly. Yet she remained impassive - only nodding in greeting when Kaz approached her and saying, "Considering my condition at our last meeting, Sir Knight, it surprises me that you'd think any of it was pleasant..." the mildest trace of a smile greeted the Jedi - though he could not see it through Jaig's helmet...

Though Jaig knew full well he was assured it was there

His arms crossed and impassive as he listened to Kaz's greeting, Antares barely moved - only his shaggy hair seemed to react and that was only movement from the breeze that was swirling around them. The holodisk containing the data he'd been presented with was balanced in the palm of his right hand, and he said, "Not that it wasn't an interesting read," he said flatly, "And more than enough to get you clearance to land... but I hardly find reports on that Corellia debacle reason enough to invite yourself to the Imperial Capital," glancing over his shoulder as a crew of Imperial service technicians approached the landing pad, Draco rolled his eyes, "Hold!" he shouted at the crew - who instantly froze in their tracks, "I did not order this - I have not even cleared the landing pad of our visitors, by what rights do you make an appearance?!"

The poor technician leading the 'group' looked terrified as Draco stared her down, "I... Grand Moff... we were ordered to scan... as soon as-" but that was as far as she got before Draco started approaching her, "You may INFORM Grand Moff WHATEVER that this matter is being handle by the Imperial Knights - yes, even one as lowly as I am a representative of that order. Only the Empress may speak for or against us... REMOVE yourselves until our ENTIRE group has departed," Draco knew he had no actual chance of keeping the scanning crews or Imperial Agents from going over Kaz's ship - just like he'd known that if that fighter the Bounty Hunter had found had been taken back to Imperial Space or been handed over to a ship of the line it would have ended up in some Moffs laboratory being taken apart.

It simply irked him that the Moff Council - even in it's weakened state - would insult not only the Imperial Knights by not trusting them to handle this greeting, but they'd then go behind their backs and investigate allied visitors in plain sight.

Everyone KNEW it was going to be done... but in the open like that? It simply wasn't proper... no matter what the reasons, it was NEVER proper.

His irate gaze remained on the Imperial scanning crew and its entourage as it departed, his attention only being refocused on Kaz and the other Jedi AFTER the crew had removed itself. When Kura smiled at him - and Kaz provided no introduction - Antares called on what little diplomatic training he had and offered her his hand, "Draco, Antares - Imperial Knight, I greet you - though I may not welcome you," it was not to say one way or another whether Draco would have allowed her or any of the Jedi on Bastion - he was simply saying that he didn't have any actual say on whether they could be here or not. Watching the two Jedi greet the final Jedi - a Master - Antares wondered for a second whether his rank as the former leader of the Imperial Knights put him on even footing with the Master or not... one thing he had never understood about titles within the Jedi order was their ACTUAL significance.

Perform well in the Imperial Knights - conquer worlds, defeat troops, protect your Ruler, defend your Empire... that assured promotion and access to greater knowledge. Quite straightforward and clearly understood. The Jedi... seemed to hand titles out, at least to Draco. Complicated and messy by his estimation... whatever the case, it hardly mattered now.

Draco had no title, and he might as well have had no name considering his status among most Imperials...

Motioning the majority of the 182nd into position around the ship, Jaig took up the rear behind Antares and the three Jedi as the Imperial Knight began to lead them towards the lift that would take them down to the command center. Draco said nothing - his long cape folded around his armor, but every pose and glance he sent in Kaz's direction said one thing, "I have questions..."
To know where Evil grows
And to permit it to flourish

Is to accept responsibility
For all that follows
